Following on the heels of his condemnation of those who abuse others to enrich themselves, James begins to speak on the proper response towards those very people. We, as the church, have an obligation to endure these trials with patience, knowing that God keeps score and will judge the wicked and reward the righteous. His work will be in His time, so until then we are called to love one another, forgive one another, show compassion and mercy to each other, and live with our eyes firmly fixed on Jesus.
